As the old saying goes ‘A Dog is for Life, Not Just For Christmas®’ and that’s just what Christiana Hines, owner of Hampstead Hounds is trying to reinforce by holding a special ‘drop in’ fundraising event to coincide with the run-up to Christmas.  The event is in aid of ALL DOGS MATTER a charity that helps rescue and rehome dogs in the London area.

Christmas is a popular time for people to welcome a puppy into their home but as the dog grows many find it a struggle with the upkeep.

Sadly, there is now a growing demand for rescue services in the current climate, as more and more unwanted dogs find themselves in need of new homes. The job of All Dogs Matter is to pair each rescue dog with the best new owner for it, ensuring that it will be safe, cared for and loved for the rest of its life.

Ira Moss, General Manager at All Dogs Matter says “Recent statistics show that in 2017 there has been a significant rise in the abandonment of dogs. We have also had many more cases of neglect which has meant even more funds needed to rush these dogs in for emergency treatment or operations. We have rescued 284 dogs so far this year. Monies raised from this event will really help us to continue with our much-needed work. We thank Hampstead Hounds and the local community for their continued support.”

The special fundraising event will take place on Saturday 9th December 2017 at the popular dog-friendly Chamomile Café on England’s Lane, London NW3 between 7.30am-9.30am. Complimentary light morning refreshments will be served to invited clients and those who drop-in during their early morning dog-walk.

Fundraising event organiser Christiana Hines, owner of Hampstead Hounds added “As a passionate and active supporter of All Dogs Matter I hope that everyone who pops in to see us will give generously to support this special event. I really want to highlight the work of this incredible charity so that more dogs can find loving homes this Christmas.”

Those attending will be able to buy raffle tickets to win a specially-made and beautifully decorated Christmas cake full of sumptuous festive ingredients ready to be eaten on the big day itself. There will also be merchandise for sale, a bucket collection and dog goodies supplied by Beautiful Joes.

Patrons and Friends of All Dogs Matter include Alan Carr, Ricky Gervais and Tracey Ullman.
